SHGAPE has reserved dorm rooms at Loyola University’s Baumhart Hall, 26 East Pearson St, next door to the Schrieber Center, where most conference sessions will take place. You can follow this link to reserve rooms. Specific dates can be selected in the menu bar above the room choices. Options include single rooms with private bath/shared kitchen and two-bedroom apartments. The block of rooms for the conference is reserved until 5 pm CST on April 15, 2026.

If attendees are looking for more Gilded Age/Progressive Era specific hotels, the aforementioned Drake Hotel (opened in 1920) is within walking distance and the Palmer House Hotel, birthplace of the Brownie, first opened in 1870 with its current building built in 1925, is only a few train stops away (approximately 8 minutes by train or 30 minute walk).
